How Do Breast Fillers Work?

Hi everyone, I hope your week has gotten off to a great start and that you are firmly in the swing of things at work or wherever you may be. Today’s topic will focus on something that may appear taboo to some, but there is actually nothing wrong with opting for breast fillers.

Not everyone is blessed to have a perfect pair of breasts, and with the huge focus and importance given to them by movies, television and more, certainly many women may be influenced and wish for a more aesthetically pleasing pair. We’re not here to pass judgment – we just aim to give our patients the confidence they deserve.

The Procedure

Firstly, it is important to note that breast fillers are not the same as breast implants. It is a non-invasive treatment for those that do not want surgery, but the filler injections are equally as effective as implants. Using compounds that are similar to those used in face fillers, these are injected just beneath your breast tissue – this maintains the natural feel of your breasts but also gives it a more endowed appearance!

The usual substance used are hyaluronic acid fillers. This is because it is already produced by your body naturally, so it can easily be absorbed and broken down as the body simply treats it as part of the natural process. It is very safe and will not trigger any allergic reactions, making it the perfect substance to be used as fillers. Furthermore, if you are not happy with the results, a simple injection of a special enzyme will digest it, bringing your breast back to the way it was prior to treatment.

Anaesthetic medicine is mixed into the substance in order to numb the selected area while the procedure occurs. There is also no need to worry about side effects such as skin redness or swelling as these are minimal, and will not cause long term complications.

Results

You can enlarge your breast by up to one cup size, but this will be discussed during the first consultation session with your doctor. One huge advantage it has over implants is that it will look more natural because unlike implants, fillers help to shape the breast instead of altering its appearance completely.
