On 28 August 2017, Dr Chen Tai Ho and volunteers from Premier Clinic were on voluntary duty at a charity event with PERTIWI Soup Kitchen.

PERTIWI is a NGO based in Kuala Lumpur which provide humanitarian food aid, medical services, free clothes and haircuts to the homeless, refugees, sex workers, immigrants and the poor.
Dr Chen and fellow doctors attended to over 40 patients on that night. There were some patients with serious problems that needed referrals such as uncontrolled high blood pressure, lipoma (fat tissue swelling) on the neck needing surgery and even suspected cancer cases.
The team helped to distribute free food and drinks to approximately 600 people.

From November 2017, we’ll be helping offer medical services to the transgender community who are often neglected and looked down upon by society.
